Position Announcement – Conservation Program Coordinator

The Oregon Chapter of the Sierra Club is hiring a full time Conservation Program Coordinator who will fill a crucial role in our organization.

The conservation program coordinator (CPC) works with Sierra Club staff and volunteer leaders to advance the Sierra Club’s varied and state-wide conservation programs in Oregon.

The CPC will engage in advocacy efforts covering a range of environmental and conservation issues including efforts to protect state and federal forests, Oregon’s high deserts, renewable energy initiatives, and stopping the export of fossil fuel resources.

The CPC will advocate before both administrative and legislative bodies as necessary and will assist in the development and implementation of strategies to advance the Oregon Chapter of the Sierra Club’s conservation agenda.

Based in Portland, Oregon, the CPC will report to the Oregon Chapter Director. The Sierra Club offers competitive salary package commensurate with skills and experience plus excellent benefits that include medical, dental, and vision coverage, and a retirement savings 401(k) plan.
