April 9th Concert to Benefit the Sierra Club’s Oregon Chapter!

The Sierra Club’s Oregon Chapter invites the community to an all-ages spring concert!  Have fun while supporting the Oregon Sierra Club’s efforts — in particular our campaign to create protected areas in Oregon’s state forests. We hope you’ll join us!

ABOUT THE ARTISTS…

Larry Murante
Larry Murante’s powerful distinctive voice and songwriting has been compared to such artists as Lyle Lovett, Hal Ketchum and Michael McDonald. With his third CD release, Point Of Entry, Murante has racked up a string of accolades in the past few years, the most notable being the Grand Prize Winner in the folk category of the international John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Larry was also a finalist in the prestigious Kerrville Grassyhill Newfolk Song Competition in Kerrville Texas as well as the winner in the Rose Garden Songwriting contest in Mansfield, MA this year. Scott Docherty

Scott Docherty has been writing and playing music for over 30 years. Scott has played on scores of recordings and in countless venues. He has been fortunate enough to have played with great artists, such as Edgar Winter, Tony Award winner Scott Waara, Jason Wade from Lifehouse, international opera star, Juliana Gondek, Nashville recording Artist, Kate Miner, internationally acclaimed bassist, and the 10,000 Maniacs to name just a few…. Presently, Scott is committed to recording and performing with talented Northwest musicians. Scott works continually in support of local music and local musicians in the region. Alexa Wiley

Alexa wiley is committed to making connections with her songwriting with local communities. alexa developed and produced “Salmon Nation Artists Project” (SNAP) a two-year long production in support of Ecotrust’s Salmon Nation philosophy. Clips of her anti-LNG song can also be heard during the credits of Crossroads on the Columbia: Oregon Confronts America’s Energy Future, a documentary of the long fight in Oregon against proposed liquefied natural gas terminals that threaten Oregon’s natural environment.     Go Girl! Miss you… I have to play this day in The Dalles in the Safeway Parking lot after the Cherry Festival Parade. Start at 11:00 and go till done.. I am allowing some other artists during the show 3 songs each… You are always welcome.. I know it’s a long drive….. Anyway I do miss you and your incredible singing voice and style.. I love the song about the fish,,, : )…
